Real Bride Rayna wears Britania by House of St. Patrick
Rayna got engaged roughly 18 months before her wedding to Boysie, and while she had a clear vision in mind, finding a gown that felt uniquely hers was more daunting than expected. Having lived and breathed weddings as a planner, she was no stranger to bridal fashion. But when the boutiques in Brisbane and the Gold Coast didn’t deliver that “wow” moment, Rayna turned to The Veil Collective—a decision that would define her bridal journey.
At TVC, Rayna gravitated toward Alena Leena, a brand she had always admired, and appreciated the boutique’s intimate, personalised experience. Yet, her initial visit didn’t yield the magic she had been hoping for. None of the gowns quite captured her heart. Feeling a little deflated but determined, she kept an eye on her socials. A few months down the line, one of our new arrivals, Britania by House of St Patrick caught her attention. Her regal charm immediately stood out, and Rayna knew she had to return. On her second visit, with bridal stylist Jess C guiding her, Rayna felt the magic finally unfold. Jess worked closely with her to uncover the elements that aligned with her vision.
Rayna and Boysie’s wedding vision was centered on warmth, intimacy, and romance. Inspired by the charm of Mamma Mia’s idyllic wedding scenes, Rayna dreamed of a celebration that radiated love.
The idea of a destination wedding in Italy initially felt like a fantasy, but when Rayna stumbled upon a stunning villa in Tuscany, the dream took shape. To her surprise, a micro-wedding abroad turned out to be more budget-friendly than a celebration back home. With Boysie on board and family and friends excited for the adventure, they booked Villa Lungomonte for a week of Tuscan bliss.
Rayna envisioned a dress that was simple yet striking, timeless yet unique. She adored basque-waist designs, long trains, and scooped necklines—criteria that Britania by House of St Patrick fulfilled in her own unique way. Her corsetry and voluminous skirt (we're talking seriously dramatic here) boasting grandeur that made it the perfect choice for her Italian affair. Her family wholeheartedly agreed; there was no doubt that Britania was the one.
Rayna’s bridal look blended timeless sophistication with modern charm. Her Britania gown stole the show, paired with blue rhinestoned heels that peeked beneath its hem. A cathedral-length pearl veil and a layered pearl choker completed her ensemble, adding subtle glamour to her elegant updo.
At the reception, the couple’s vision of romance came to life. Garden florals decorated the tables with candles in tall vases that bathed the space with a warm glow. The tablescapes captured the understated elegance Rayna had envisioned. As the evening unfolded, Rayna swapped her gown for a chic second mini look, allowing her to dance comfortably with her guests.
The bridal party complemented the scene perfectly. Bridesmaids wore neutral-toned dresses, while the groomsmen stood dapper in beige suits, with Boysie looking striking in a forest-green ensemble. Together, the group embodied understated elegance, perfectly suited to the Tuscan setting.
Rayna’s journey to finding Britania wasn’t straightforward, but it was worth every step. Her advice to brides still searching? “Don’t give up. Explore every option and trust the process.” Sometimes, the dress you’re meant to wear is the one you least expect.
