It’s always a delight to witness a group of talented creatives come together to bring a vision to fruition, and this styled shoot, beautifully captured by Shae from Estella Photo perched upon the grounds at The Old Dairy at Maleny, is no exception. We were thrilled to contribute a stunning gown from our boutique, which took center stage atop the valley views.

Our Creative Director, Jess, had the pleasure of witnessing this vision come to life, beautifully orchestrated by Simply Style Co. Embracing a “Fashion in the Hinterland” theme, the styled shoot showcased a harmonious blend of elegance and natural beauty, set against the lush greenery of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. The scene was bathed in soft pastel pinks, charming decor and accompanied by minimalistic accessories, creating a breathtaking visual narrative that perfectly balanced refined elegance with a contemporary twist.

The star of the show was our Veronica gown by Alena Leena, selected for her modern details that exude high-fashion, editorial-esque sophistication. The gown’s luminous liquid-crushed satin and exquisite Chantilly lace create rich texture, celebrating both tradition and modernity. Against the backdrop of a Queensland winter’s day, Veronica’s soft silhouette created a striking contrast, resulting in seriously dreamy photos. Complemented by a gorgeous white bouquet and a dramatic up-do that allowed the back of the gown to be flaunted in all its glory. This ensemble was an unforgettable statement of romance.

The understated grandeur of The Old Dairy guarantees that even the most subtle details leave a lasting impression. Take the decorations for instance: the floral arrangements are both classic and stately, the tableware is refined and sophisticated, and the marquee tent—complete with comfortable sofas and a bar for cocktail hour (say no more!) — adds a touch of modern flair and fun that perfectly captures the essence of 2024.

This approach allows the venues natural charm — such as the white chapel, lush green hills, timber barn doors and feature stone wall in the reception space (just to name a few) — to truly shine through. It provides couples with abundant inspiration for incorporating current fashion and trends into their celebrations wherever they may be! The execution of this concept from every vendor was second to none and we are so honoured to have been a part of the day.

Last fortnight, The Old Dairy opened its gates for the Maleny Winter Wedding Festival Trail 2024, and it was a whirlwind of excitement! Couples got a taste of the venue’s charm while mingling with a mix of local wedding vendors, including the team behind this stunning styled shoot.

For those that don’t know, wedding trails give brides and grooms the chance to connect with, gather inspiration and explore everything from fabulous floral arrangements, to experienced photographers, make-up artists and even bespoke catering options. The event transformed the site into a festive hub of inspiration and possibility, allowing couples to experience the magic of the venue firsthand.
